Rental application and agreement:
Rental applications for new clients are available from Cam-A-Lot Rentals. This form must be completed in full and returned to Cam-A-Lot a minimum of 36 hours prior to hire. The hirer gives Cam-A-Lot Rentals permission to do a credit worthy evaluation.
Payment is required prior to hire, for all customers.
All accounts are striclty 30 days from date of invoice. For accounts not settled in the agreed period, the Hirer agrees to pay Cam-a-Lot Rentals 2.5% interest per month on all outstanding invoices.
As the person duly authorised by the company or as a sole trader, I sign this contract and accept full responcibility in my personal capacity for all outstanding payments or debt due.
Insurance:
On accepting this agreement to do business with Cam-A-Lot Rentals the hirer takes full responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged equipment and understands that they will be liable for the insurance excess rates. Theft from premises is subject to forcible/violent entry/exit. If the lost, stolen or damaged equipment is less in value than the excess for the claim, the hirer will be liable for the full replacement or repair costs and also understands and accepts that uninsured items and equipment that are lost, stolen or damaged shall also be for the account of the Hirer, whether replacement or repair is needed. Cam-A-Lot Rentals retains the right and final decision whether damaged equipment shall be repaired or replaced.
The insurance terms and conditions stipulate that equipment is not covered during the use of under water and aerial photography and abnormally high risk areas and situations, including and without limitation acts of terrorism.Travel to certain countries may also constitute to insurance exclusions. It is compulsory to inform Cam-A-Lot on all travel abroad and abnormal shoots.
The responsibility and risk is on the Hirer, who shall also be held liable for all cost due to loss, theft or damage to equipment, as from when the equipment is handed to the carrier who shall be deemed as part of the Hirer. This responsibility will remain with the Hirer until all the equipment is returned to Cam-A-Lot Rentals and is accepted as whole and in good working order. Cam-A-Lot shall have up to five working days to determine whether the returned equipment is in satisfactory condition.
On bigger productions it is recommended that the production company involved take out additional production insurance to cover any shortfalls or unforeseen equipment related incidences.

Indemnity:
Cam-A-Lot Rentals endeavours to hire out well maintained and packaged equipment. However due to the nature of electronic equipment and human error the Hirer indemnifies Cam-A-Lot Rentals cc, its Owners, Members and Staff for any claim, financial or otherwise incurred due to equipment failure, omission of equipment or any other unforeseen error whether or not due to negligence by Cam-A-Lot Rentals .
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to insure that the required equipment, accessories and extras, as requested are supplied and packed on collection.
Cam-A-Lot Rentals has the right to refuse service.
